Because I had a fairly productive first real day at work. I didn't feel as hazed as yesterday.

Because of randos on the train and metro-- one bought me coffee and conversed the whole way to DC with me. The other and I had an exchange on my way from the metro to Union Station that went like this:
*guy next to me gets up to leave*
*woman brushes bag against me*
Woman: Gosh, I'm sorry.
Me: It's okay, it happens. It's the metro.
Woman: You think I'd have developed a way to not fall on people by now.
Me: Well, it's fine. I've developed a way to ignore it all. Really, I'm not bothered at all.
Woman: Do you go to school here?
Me: Nope, I've got an internship for an exchange program and I'm searching for a job in communications.
Woman: You should apply to the Department of the Treasury. *exchange of names* You know, one grumpy person can make a metro experience bad. But what's there to be upset about when you're going home?
Me: Are you headed home?
Woman: Yep.
Me: Where do you work?
Woman: The Department of the Treasury.
Me: Imagine that.
Woman: Drop my name with your resume and maybe I'll read something if it comes from you. Maybe not. Sometimes it's all about the random encounters.
*Union Station stop*
Woman: Bye!
Me: Um, bye!(?)
*exeunt*
Turns out this woman's like Director for International Affairs or something. Who knew?
SOTD: Hey Champ - Anything At All. Went through my head during the key crisis. Possibly because I was proselytized to this morning.
